Welcome

Mrs Natalie Harris

I am very proud to welcome you to Dunstall Park Primary School and introduce myself as Head of School.

Our school sits at the heart of a newly established community, and we look forward to opening our doors to Nursery and Reception in September 2024.

As a leader, I put children at the heart of my decision making, whilst remembering what it is like to be a parent of young children. The question I always ask myself is ‘would this be good enough for my own child?’ and this is my motivation for leading Dunstall Park. I understand how important it is for children to feel happy and secure for them to thrive. We provide a nurturing environment where they feel safe trying new things, and where it is okay to make mistakes that they can then learn from.

After 25 years in education, I know we can never underestimate the brilliance and potential of young minds. We want them to ‘dream big’ and to understand they absolutely can be the next generation of scientists, historians, artists, inventors, sports stars, entrepreneurs and leaders! Talents will be nurtured, encouraged and celebrated for all children.

We will work in partnership with our families to ensure our children develop into hard-working, resilient, and respectful young people. This will run alongside an ambitious, enriching and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of our children; quality first teaching will underpin this so all children are equipped to succeed, both now and in the future.

At Dunstall Park, academic success and personal development will go hand in hand. Our school will play a vital role in developing the minds and characters of the youngest members of our community. We do not underestimate the significant impact we can have on our children and that is why we are committed to ensuring they have the very best start. We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
